The Original Story...

What can we say about Roseta? There is so much and nothing at the same time. She probably never had a happy life. She was found, thankfully, by a Mrs. Bente O. who informed Pro Animal Gomera (PAG). Her condition when she was found indicated that she is around 12 years old.  She has born many puppies in her life and has never been cared for.  She was abandoned in a sunny place near Alajero, away from the main road.  She was alone, starving and thirsty, full of fleas and worms.  She had a terrible flea allergy that caused hair loss and had her scratching all the time.  Also, she smelled awful and was quite shy. However, when PAG put her in the car to take her to the clinic she didn’t complain and seemed to feel that her bad days were finally over. After three days of medical care we can say today that she is a very nice and loveable old lady that deserves a few good last days, months, years of life. She was tested against Filaria and a few others sicknesses and thankfully, all is negative. Just a bit of arthritis, which is quite normal.

She plays with another dog (Simba) in her foster home, doesn't seem to have any problem with cats, and just loves attention and petting.
