16.00:
I receive a phone call from Playa de Santiago. Seems that two
days ago some people spotted a dog half way between Valle Gran Rey
and Arure. They were told that at 15:00 pm today he was still
there. Maybe they want him?
16.15:
I went to Regina's to pick up the black kittens and to tell her
about the call. Regina decided to go get the dog.
17.30:
Regina is at the Vet with the dog (Pointer, one year old, thin and
scared ), then comes to the restaurant (where I work) where we
decided that I'll keep the dog on my terrace.
18.00:
The dog is in my house. I call the hotel in Santiago and leave
a message for the people that had expressed an interest in the dog.
19.30:
Next call. They (the folks at Santiago) want the dog.
19.45:
Pablo takes him (the dog) down to the Vet again for passport, chip
and so forth...
20.15:
Called the folks in Santiago again to give them the Vet's number in
order to tie up some loose ends and also to arrange for a meeting
tomorrow.
21.30:
Last call. Everything's ok !! Pablo will take the dog,
now named Perro, to San Sabastian tomorrow afternoon at around
15:30. The folks who will be taking Perro are very happy and
have promised to send a picture. Also, the gentleman told me
that his wife had been crying for last two days!
24.00:
I just came home. I have a sleepy and well fed dog on
the terrace, a sick cat getting better in the guest room, and
2 passports for 2 kittens. I think it has been a good
day!
