Due to two recent visits from members of the Förderverein Animal La Gomera + e.V. (FALG), we were able to send two puppies and 12 kittens to new homes in Germany, giving us more room for other needy animals.  The respite did not last long though as a few days later we took in eight new cats which included one female, injured such that she has no use, at the moment of her back legs (She is presently under close observation).  We are hoping that, with lots of rest and good treatment, she will be on all fours in a few weeks.  We really do not wish to put her down.  At the moment she shares a shelter with her daughter, who has a very bad eye infection.  Both mother and daughter are recovering.
