Cajacanarias vuelve a apoyar a la asociación PRO Animal Gomera!

11/03/2009 07:56:00

The Bank Cajacanaria will again support the only Animal Protection Association on La Gomera:  Pro Animal Gomera (PAG).

Because of the Bank’s support in 2008 with their “Cultural and Social Work” Projects, the animal protection organization was finally able to start their education program on La Gomera.

Because of their support, a large number of ground school students were visited in their classrooms by a representative of Pro Animal Gomera and given an hour class with the theme of “Pets are on La Gomera”.   These students were the youngest on the Island and were taught such things as proper care, feeding and handling of dogs and cats.

With the donation of 3,000 Euros from the Bank Cajacanarias, the Animal protection Organization will work this Fall in the remaining schools and share information with the students about sterilization of domestic animals as well as the laws concerning the protection of animals.

The Animal Protection Organization hopes to have a good working relationship with the schools, as they had in the previous year and again, wish to thank the Bank Cajacanarias for their support.
