Many,
many animals are treated very poorly on the Island. In most cases it
is a problem of education and a failure to respect animal needs and rights.
Following are just some of the problems found on the Island. Most of
the pictures seen have been sent to us by concerned tourists. Most
concern dogs.
Unfortunately, even when we find problems as depicted below, PAG can do
nothing by itself. We have no authority to enter private property
and can only report the incident. We need your help as well as the
support of the local authorities. For instance, the law basically
states how a dog should be kept. When such incidences like those
below are reported the law can remove the animal. However, in cases
such as these on this Island, there is no place to remove them to.
There is no Animal Shelter on this Island.
