One would not like
to see such pictures again, but it happens again and again. This
Podenco was found In Hermigua, at the foot of Los Roques. She
just had puppies and would normally be a little skinny and weak.
However, never should a female dog that just had puppies look like
that shown in the photo.
The tourists who
found this animal and took these pictures started feeding it
immediately and another tourist learned about this animal's plight and
also started feeding it.
Of course the Guardia Civil (Police) and the responsible Ayuntamiento
(local government) were informed and we are assuming that the
authorities will take care of the problem and the condition of this
dog will change. We shall stay on top of this story and report any
future developments.
